Ruby Zoisite - 1 pound

Locality: Tanzania 
*Mostly 1 Pound and larger pieces

1. Color: A striking combination of green (zoisite), deep pink to red (ruby), and sometimes black inclusions (hornblende).
2. Hardness: 6 - 7 on the Mohs scale; the zoisite portion is softer, while ruby inclusions are harder.
3. Clarity: Opaque to slightly translucent in some ruby sections.
4. Luster: Vitreous (glassy) to slightly silky.
5. Density: Around 3.3 - 3.5 g/cm³, making it denser than many other minerals.
6. Metaphysical Properties: The ruby component encourages passion, motivation, and energy, while zoisite provides grounding and calmness.  Thought to aid in overcoming grief, trauma, and emotional struggles by promoting positivity and strength.
